The Ancient Greek philosophers shaped Western philosophy and culture into what it is today. The legacy of Plato and Aristotle remains to be seen. Our societies and laws are greatly influenced by the Ancient Greek philosophical thinking. Some of our modern politics, law making and moral values are the same as they were over 2000 years ago

Let me start .. Joy Division, because of unique sound. There really wasnt anything like it at the time and since. Many bands model themselves on them and they are thought of as highly influencial. If it werent for Joy division, there may not have been Editor and Interpol, for example.
