    Being the Oldest Child in Your Family - Advantages and Disadvantages?

    What has been your experience being the oldest child in your family. Has it seemed like a burden to you, or do you perceive it as a positive? Do you wish you were the youngest or middle child?

    You usually get more privileges. You also get more responsibilities; be the model!

      In small famiies of 2 children, oldest children get the privileges;however, in large families of 6 and more children, oldest children get nothing but ressponsibilities and more responsibilities.

    Oldest children can assume myriad roles in the family. He/she can be the idolized, cool,& hip older sibling whom younger siblings emulate at turn.He/she can also be the second parent-OR BOTH! read more
