Do you get any caterpillars in your garden, and if so, what kind?
I love to do butterfly gardening, and one big part of that is attracting butterflies to lay their eggs on on host plants. Do you find that you get caterpillars of any kind, whether you try to or not? What do they look like if so?
Last year I had this caterpillar in my garden, but it is of a yellow tailed moth I think, not a butterfly. I try to attract butterflies to my garden and always leave some nettles because small tortoiseshell caterpillars like them
Hi Nettlemere, that is an awesome picture, thanks for sharing it! I think its great you like to attract butterflies. Its tough because there are some we want in the garden, but then other things that are true pests. I don't recall seeing a caterpillar like that, so thank you so much!

What are the best plants to attract butterflies?I would love to have my whole yard, or at least my backyard, full of plants/bushes that attract butterflies for my grandchildren's enjoyment, and mine, when they are visiting. What are the best butterfly attracting plants for the south?

Is there a Spiritual Significance to Butterflies? I see them a lot these days and people send me a lot of butterfly photos? Just wondering.... (I would have liked to put this under "Spiritual" but we don't have that category)
