Is there any research or facts about the Mayan Civilization or culture ever making any predictions for the future?
There is plenty of confusion over the Mayan Calendar and its ability to predict. What is is really good at predicting are celestial events. Anything else comes from myth, tale spinning and speculation. However, there is such a thing as an astrological influence, but it takes an independent view to break out of preconceived ideas about what is going to happen.
