    How many steroid injections can you have in your spine, in your lifetime?

    I've had 5 already is there a limit?

    No, there's no limit to how much you can have in your lifetime, but there is a frequency limit. It's usually about once every 3 to 6 months depending on the patient's needs and the doctors preference. Talk with your doctor if you're concerned. He or she might be able to help you cut down on the frequency of the injections, or "blocks" as their called. It's a matter of trial and error. Some patients can go the full six months on one shot and not have any pain, other's can barely make it to the 3 month mark. As with any medication, it's best to try to get by on the minimum to avoid building a tolerance and limit kidney and liver damage.

      Thank you Charlotte, I've had so many now I don't think I can have anymore, I suffer from Degenerative Disc Disease, which mean my bones are crumbling, I was on morphine patches but they brought me out in a rash, so now I'm on strong morphine tablets

      I, too, suffer degenerative disc disease, and while I don't follow Charlotte Gerson's method 100%, I have implemented many of her methods. By following the "plant-strong" diet, I've reduced my need for pain medication drastically. I feel fantastic.
