    What are the negative stereotypes of the middle child in the family?

    The middle child has a tendency to cooperate with the oldest child in dominating the youngest. This is to avoid inordinate attention from the oldest.

      Yes, the middle child is the everychild of the family structure.

    in my opinion the first child will always be the FIRST child so will be seen as the one who is the " oldest " which then puts a small burden on that child, the youngest is seen as the most vulnerable one who is meant to look up to the first child to set an example. The middle child gets left out, gets less special treatment than the other two. Don't get me wrong the parents don't hat the middle child but for some reason the middle child is seen as the least " special " one. this is coming from a first child.

      Yes, middle children are often viewed as nebulous and the oops, forgotten one of the family!
