   What's your favorite thing about Fall season?
   
   We're not even out of Summer yet, but in three days my son is off to the Fall semester of his first year of college. I know some parents can't wait to get the kids out of  the house again in the Fall. But what else is great about it. Cooler weather, change of colors ...

   The smells. Going outside and inhaling that brisk fall scent. The cold weather doesn't appear until October 31st, Halloween.

   There are a myriad of reasons for me. I love the increase in windy weather, the change in temperature, the fact that I can once again have a fire in our fireplace, in my childhood years it always meant the beginning of hockey season for me...
   In particular I have come to love the part of Fall season from (American) Thanksgiving to New Years. It is usually such a festive and joyous time period and one that renews me in many ways...

   I have written a hub poem about Autumn that might be appropriate.(Autumn Comes),I wish you well in enrolling your son and I'm sure he will make you a proud parent, no matter what he does in the future. Our children have a way of making the grade, despite of all the challenges, and if we help out, now and then, all for the better.

   I just cannot resist stepping on autumn leaves that have fallen to the ground.  The crisper they are the better.  I love the sound it makes under my feet.  I have been know to (gently) shove a loved one to one side in order to get to a crispy looking leaf first!

   Everything! After living through a Georgia summer, I love the cool weather, the color of the leaves, the food and my favorite Halloween!!
