Are There Any Natural Methods To Ridding Your House Of Spiders?
Are There Any Natural Methods To Ridding Your House Of Spiders? Do spiders have an aversion to any naturally occurring plants or safe, common chemicals?
The answer is yes. Conkers! Evidently if you place them in the corners of your room, they keep the spiders away. I did try it a few years ago and I never saw a spider indoors that year. I am not sure if that really worked or whether I just missed them! lol! but thats what it says, so give it a try, it may just work.
I realize spiders frighten people and can overtake areas w/ webs . I won't recommend killing them, but they can be deterred w/ essential oils from herbs or citrus ie, orange oil, thyme, clove, rosemary, peppermint, etc. I would try these first because spiders are beneficial predators and generally harmless to humans. Those that are venemous( black/brown widows and brown recluse) are usually found in undisturbed areas where we need to be more cautious by wearing gloves, long pants, and shoes.
