If a bat and ball cost total of $1.10 and the bat costs $1 more than the ball, how much is the ball?
I saw this question on a show the other night and even though I consider myself math smart, I got it wrong:
If a bat and ball cost $1.10 in total. And the bat is $1 more than the cost of the ball, How much is the cost of the ball?
Apparently only 50% of Harvard and Princeton students tested got this right.
5 cents.
The bat costs $1.05 and the ball costs $0.05:
1.05 + 0.05 = 1.10

I finally got signed up for Obamacare, a most eye opening experience. 2 days to sign up, then the blasted web site "pay here" button doesn't work. It takes two days to verify and must be done by the 15th. The vendor is only a mile from my home, but can't look it up for...

I've bee watching a bit of the college world series and have heard about the bat change. What exactly did they do and why not just change to wood if aluminum is so dangerous. I saw one hitter that went from being a 400 hitter to a 200 hitter after the change. The bat change zapped his ability to...
