Shredding documents.  You stand there, in one place, feeding papers to a machine.  It requires little effort until you have to empty out the paper from the bin.  If it's a large shredder, that takes awhile.

Making the bed every morning....when your husband is of retirement status..
as the probability of him going back for a nap several times a day is highly assured....thus a waste of your energy...this is just one of many numerous
" mindless acts "..too numerous to mention..hehehe

Interpreting the term "mindless act" in a different way, recently in England two 13 year old boys kicked a homeless man to death "for a dare".  He was sleeping in a doorway, had never done anything to them or even spoken to them. They had no reason whatsoever to want to harm him.  We hear of events like this more and more frequently - groups of teenagers attacking lone complete strangers and videoing the attack on their cell-phones as if it is something to be proud of -  people viciously attacking strangers in the street for no apparent reason, not even robbery.  Is our society losing its mind?

Mazzy..Society as a whole is going to " H*ll in a hand basket " ..for too long we have allowed everyone to do their own thing and accepting responsibility for nothing ! the mind is a terrible thing to waste...let alone lose it...

My thinking went along the lines of Mazzy's post.  The most mindless act I have seen is driving on a two lane road, slowing to a stop so a flock of wild turkeys can cross...and in the opposite lane, kids driving and speeding up to hit the flock dead center.  WHY?

That is a mindlessly cruel act that will be in my memory for a lifetime.

Yes i do completely agree with you here. It seems total mindless act without any sense of responsibility. Thanks you.
