Commitment. If you don't have that, then a relationship will not last.
In my opinion simply a deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness. In a more concise expression; sacrificial love.
Without this I believe the relationship is in jeopardy of falling off. Even with trust, if there is not this feeling of oneness eventually it will indeed sever...
Respect. Sometimes, love fails. But if respect remains, love can be rebuilt.
