Will the Earth's people be able to supply all fresh water needed, unless we desalinate ocean water?
Do you think that companies will begin more desalination of ocean waters due to the lack of fresh water and so much seems to be drying up, due to climate?
Desalination is one way to provide fresh water, but it is energy intensive. It would be best if it could be done using renewable energy. Another approach to providing fresh water is squeezing water out of the air using a condeser (like an air conditioner). The technology has been invented to do this. I wrote a Hub about this called: Creating Drinking Water From Air.
Very interesting and I hope this idea takes hold. Thanks for the reply. whonu
