Is anyone following the Zimmerman trial?
If it proves that 1/2 or more of what the defense said in opening hold up could you convict him of anything beyond involuntary manslaughter?
No, I have not had time to follow it. It is just a media circus now anyway. People have forgotten about the victim, unfortunately.
I have not been following it all that closely. I suspect he will be going to jail simply for the fact that the 911 police operator instructed him not to follow the teen.
Had he obeyed that instruction no one would have died that night. Odds are he if he had not had a gun on him he probably would not have followed the kid either.
Actually the 911 operator implied that he should keep the police informed about where Martin went and by what route. Its all in how you interpret what was said.
Police tell neighborhood watch groups (not) to engage with suspects. "Are you following him?" the dispatcher asked. Zimmerman replied: "Yep." "Okay, we don't need you to do that," the dispatcher. That doesn't leave a lot of doubt in my opinion.
This case is so racially charged that it's hard to see how any of them will come to a fact-based decision.

Does anyone find it strange how all the liberals support Trayvon/ conservatives for Zimmerman?I see both sides claiming bias in the media on the other side, or some kind of systematic, race based flaw. However, how come we're split along political lines? Doesn't this show that America...

What authority does the neighborhood watch have to observe or direct people to do something?Much has been made of the fact that when you call the Police, you're not really talking to a cop and therefore don't have to obey a given directive. Neighborhood Watch members are not sworn officers either,...

Crash into an illegally parked car - whose fault? What if a car parks in a non-parking place right behind your vehicle and you do not see them, are you responsible for damage resulting from your backing into them?

Being caught up in the debate, I slept on it and upon awakening realized that I, too, have allowed myself to caught in the hysteria. When I or anyone allows this to overwhelm it shortcircuits one's reasoning ability. 1. We are all guilty of prejudice and pre-conceived attitudes. We get them...
