I think it's impossible to completely stop bullying, but it would help if the staff would encourage the students that it's okay to be a "tattle tell" and I think they need to do a better job at keeping who told anonymous so the person who told isn't punished by the other students.

Unfortunately, all too often school principals, counselors, and teachers share a common response to the bully: Empathy; empathy in the form of problematic claims that bullies suffer from low self-esteem, that bullies are often bullied, that bullies are simply modeling behaviors that they have experienced.
