It's a theory, so I don't need to agree or disagree with it. A theory is something which is not proven but which currently explains all known facts about the situation as well as possible, until more facts become known which either "prove" it, or "disprove" it and at that point a different theory will probably emerge.
I think I understand it (though I could be wrong) and it seems to me that it does a good job of explaining what we know as FACTS.
Evolution is not mentioned in the big book of stories that forms the basis of my religion, therefore I cannot agree with it. My book of stories says that all animals were created by a giant rabbit named Watership Down who formed man and all the other living creatures of the earth out of a ball of earwax he picked from his left ear. The heavens and earth were created from a giant ball of earwax he picked from his right ear.
May you be caught up into that ball of wax
and be sent Splatt against the bathroom wall.
LOL, I remember my dad telling similar stories to the door-to-door missionaries who would sometimes stop by to convert us. His didn't involve rabbits and ear wax, but crocodiles and hedge clippers.
The power of nacessity created nature. The time for statistic creation of world
excisted.Plenty of time to come together the right chemical elements.

Is the Darwin's theory of evolution really against what is in the Bible? Is there room for interpretation regarding Adam and Eve and the creation of the world or is it very literal to you?

The paleontologists have found no evidence of the existence of the intermediate creatures that are claimed by Darwin to have existed for the conversion of one animal species to another..

Any one who has interacted with me here will know I try not to make personal attacks, other than to make fun of people, and these threads are littered with snipped personal attacks on me...

With some recent archaeological discoveries in India, and in South Africa has Darwin's evolution clouded our judgment about the creation of mankind? That's the question I would like to pose to all of you this morning before I scurry off to work. Why I am asking this question is because it is...

Why do people assume that it has to be creation OR evolution? Why can't it be that God used evolution to create? It is just that we have finally gotten to a level that we can start to understand some of the "how" God did what God did...or at least we can start to comprehend the tools God...

No. Many people, from evolutionary biologists to important religious figures like Pope John Paul II, contend that the time-tested theory of evolution does not refute the presence of God. They acknowledge that evolution is the description of a process that governs the development of life on Earth....
