Would you choose an educational setting for your child purely on the OFSTED inspection report?
There are now more preschools and nurseries available to parents. Therefore would you choose one for your child based purely on the OFSTED inspection report or would you talk to parents and get a more generalised view of the settings first?
Coming from someone fresh out of highschool, I would advice any and all parents to not go by OFSTED reports. The children are warned beforehand, the teachers tell the kids that its a week in detention if they act up in the slightest, I went to a few schools, it happened at all of them. I think the only true way to judge is to go off of meeting the teachers, going to open evenings, and by god, asking the damn kid. You'd be surprised how often parents miss that, and they can send little timmy to the best school in 30 miles where he will still fail because its an environment he doesn't like and can't work in.
