Is life skills training required for school students in the current scenario?
I was surprised to see a school book on Life skills for my 6 yr old kid.I did not have specific training when I was studying.I asked the teachers why it is required but they are unable to convince me.So I have decided to seek answer from Hub Pages Community. Please respond
It used to be that life skills training was only given to those with disabilities. It includes such things as self-esteem, communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution. Some schools teach these things in their high school Family/Consumer Science curriculum. With the increased incidence of abuse, bullying, mental health issues, and other societal maladies, more and more schools are teaching life skills at younger ages. I highly encourage it, and wish more would get on board with this important training.
