To all New Yorkers out there, what are the TEN things that make New York the most exciting,
cosmopolitan, and unique city in the world?
When I lived in New York, in the days prior to cell phones, I had an answering service, so prospective clients could speak to a real human rather than a machine when trying to reach me. The name of my answering service was City Never Sleeps, which is a good way to explain why living in New York is so unique. The city really never sleeps. At any hour of the day or night, you can find somewhere to go, and something to do. I've lived in a lot of places, but New York is the only place where that energy hummed 24 hours a day.
