To business minded people & other economically cognizant/savvy people out there, what makes
some people be quite weary of money, even hating and decrying its value in postmodern society and culture, even glorifying a life of socioeconomic penury, poverty, lack, and consistent struggle? What do such people hate the idea of economic security beyond mere, constant doing without out with enough money to live a cultivated life with investments and savings for the future and their future generations?
You ask Why? I can only respond by asking Where? Are there really such people?
OH GOD YES.......there ARE such people out there. It is really perplexing to say the very least. There are people who love being impoverished, glorify being poor, and HATE wealth/money.
i wouldnt say people glorify being poor,i think that they are satisfied with what they got,and some people who have alot of money are never satisfied always wantin more.to fill in what is lacking in other areas.
Thank you for clarifying that situation for me, Grace Marguerite Williams. I too find it perplexing, so at this point in time I just cannot think of an appropriate answer. Hope someone here can.
There's NOTHING wrong with wanting more. See Marlene, here's ONE example of what I am talking about.....HERE. Some people believe that people shouldn't want but just be satisfied w/crumbs ......
I believe that there is nothing wrong with being content with what you have, isn't that what everyone wants?
