To parents out there, do you feel that your extroverted child has more on the ball than your

introverted child? Do you wish that your introverted child was more like your extroverted child?

There is a great TED talk on "The power of introverts", how even with the same IQ, introverts do better academically and in STEM subjects because they are focused on the theoretical.
It also talks about how this minority personality type is discriminated against, where it is mis-labelled as social phobia or shyness when it is a basic personality type.
I have one extrovert, one introvert, and I don't wish either changed their personalities. But parents do have to be careful not to endlessly stick introverts in social situations like throwing them into a pool OR shielding them from interaction and acting as a go between.
