To paraphrase Mark Twain, lacking love. He/she needs it the most, because he/she is lacking the most. It can never create, only destroy. Lives in self-inflicted wounds.

I'd call him an idealistic freedom fighter, personally. He gave humans more credit than God as being thinking and feeling creatures who were capable of a whole range of experiences. Did he really 'trick' Eve into eating the fruit or did he just point the way to freedom from Eden?

He didn't like the way the angels were being treated or regarded either, so he questioned the status quo and led a revolt.

How exactly was God mistreating Satan and the angels?  Where did you get that information?  The whole point of his attack was to make Eve think she was on the road to freedom, but since sin and death came into the world, obviously that a lie.
