By No One, do you mean human? If so, reality probably existed prior to human life on Earth, as observed by other Earth creatures.
Nope, no human no human reality which is obviously what you are talking about. My dog dreams you can see it in his twitching and face. That is his dog dream reality at that moment. Things are only a reality to man if he is aware of it. The reality of the little girl in India that just stubbed her toe is not my reality.
But on a different level I may realize it. Spooky thought.
But absolutely no one to be aware of something means it did not happen in human reality.
Archaeology is cool. What is discovered from ions ago becomes part of our reality. But the time space continuum creates a separate reality.
You just blinked and time passed. Is that past a part of your current reality? If you remember it it is. If you forgot it it is not.
Existence is not just the matter. Existence and therefor reality can be just a thought. You did not just experience my thought but that thought is reality to me and not to you. I just imagined you reading this and that is my reality, hopefully yours is your own.
This is a paraphrasing of Descartes question...which was corrupted over time. The original question he asked was after a conversation he had with his wife...and subsequent EX.Here it is
"If a man is walking through the forest expressing his opinion, and there's no Woman there to hear him...is he still wrong?"...
"IF A TREE FELL IN A FORREST AND NO ONE WAS AROUND TO HEAR IT WOULD IT MAKE A SOUND?"
same thing..........Yes it would make a sound....
If you believe in evolution, yes, the universe and life existed before there was intelligence to contemplate it.
Because man's life-forces were every form of existence including all of their multitude of attributes prior to incarnating as man, the appropriate answer is "there would not be a reality if there was no one to observe it."
Existence is what man call god's learning its every attribute by living them. Our name, man, means "mind able to comprehend all things" which suggest man are god in the process of learning itself. It's for that cause Yoshua called Jesus often called himself "son of god" and son of man" when saying who he was. the same is true of all life types in each of us, they must each someday be us.
This is a very nice topic which is thought provoking! An observer is a must to witness the so called creation. But whether there is creation or not, an eternal unknown, unseen power remains forever. It is the only existing principle from the beginning. It transcends time, space and causation. The mind principle emanated from the One. Simultaneously time, space and causation started. Even the scientist vouch that only after the "Big Bang", time, space and causation commenced. Thank you for such thought provoking topics.
Hi PheonixV! How's it going?
First of all: What do you mean by "no one"? Do you mean no sentient beings, including humans and no other kind of animals?
Second: What do you mean by "observe" it, reality? Do you mean just being alive in reality, in the universe?
I'm not being facetious, but: If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? As you know, that is another classic existential question.
Let's address the second question first. It depends if there are, in existence, beings, beings for whom "sound" is a thing, a way of navigating around the world. The fact that the question (If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?) can be asked, means that the answer is yes.
No hearing being happens to be within hearing distance of the tree at the time it falls, but if hearing beings exists, any of whom might have been in hearing distance under the right circumstances---then the answer is yes.
The answer is yes because hearing beings exist.
"Reality" is not a localized thing like a falling tree. If "no one" is around to "observe" reality, then no one exists. That is to say that there are no reality-partaking beings in the universe, who can experience reality. This means that from an experiential point of view---assuming there is no "God"---then the answer would be 'No.' "Reality" would not exist if there was no one around to observe it.
WT, it would not be a forest if there was no one around, all of the trees, birds, animals and other lives are individuals ones and it has been proven that trees and plants speaks and hears.
Elijah I have also learned of this and no doubt my plants do better with peaceful surrounding.
Elijah, it is possible for no one to be around a forest, because they can all simply be somewhere else. You cannot say this about "reality," which is the whole universe; there is no way to be somewhere else, if no one is around to "observe" it.
WT, One connote another life, if man understood everything between the stars, sun, planets and moon is solid functioning at a vibration man see through we'd know there are beings throughout existence and there's no place without living beings.
It al depends on what you mean with reality.
Reality as the physical situation in which laws of physics rule, does not need an observer. Gravity will do its work even without some being looking at things falling or growing in to stars, planets, planetary systems, star systems. Electromagnetic waves will influence atoms and atoms will create electromagnetic waves. So yes this physical reality exists without an observer.
If you mean reality experienced by an observer, that only exists with that observer. So yes, the observed reality does not exist if there is no observer.

Why do atheist and other none believers not accept as proof human existenceIncluding them ?I ask this question because atheist are persistent with this line prove that God existBut as they are given proof they persist to say the same words, example a husband and wife claims to love one...

I have heard all sorts of arguments about existence, how the laws of logic exist, how morality exists, how love exists, and so on. I have tried to challenge these assumptions with the object/concept explanation, but that seems to be either too simple or too difficult to accept for many -...

A few weeks ago I asked what I thought was quite a serious, searching question about the existence of God, and was rather disappointed when it got a very limited response. (This could have been because we were all wrestling this other equally important issues at the time.)Peter Lopez made a valiant...

What do you guys think about the simulated universe theory, almost like the matrix in a way. Google the simulated universe theory and tell me what you think. I find it plausible that we are living in a simulation and our 'simulators' are also living within a simulation, etc. almost like...
