What do you think about geneticists bringing extinct animal species to populate the planet?
One species is for the ancient mamoth elephants to inhabit Denmark. How do you think the food chain or natures life balance will be affected?
It depends on why the mammoth went extinct. If they went due to inability to adapt to natural changes in climate and geography then there is no point to bringing them back. If they went extinct due to being over-hunted by humans, then maybe we could consider it.
It could be useful in ecosystem restoration. We also shouldn't ignore the value of genetically engineering crops to produce more food on less land with less loss to disease and pests so more land can go wild.
