When will some Americans come to the realization that their socioeconomic betterment is up to
them, NOT the government or the political powers that be? When will some Americans stop seeing the government as THE socioeconomic panacea?

It is well known many Americans tend to be spoiled and short sighted. A stint spent in a developing country - I.e., hell - should solve the problem.
