create the trends that others follow, the middle socioeconomic class follow the rules that the upper class create & aren't about to think outside the proverbial box, & the lower socioeconomic class are for the most part on the societal periphery/outside looking in?
In a word, Yes ! It seems to be the corporate giants and their owners who call the shots today, and the governments do as they wish. Perhaps they are afraid of the economic power that these people hold.
