What areas do you obsess over, even feel passion about? What rises your ire & why?
Mostly religion and spiritual matters.
Nothing "raises my ire" too much.
Thank you for your post, it is greatly appreciated.
Almost everyone on HubPages know my obsession & passion: I am for family planning & small families because I want children to have the best socioeconomic, cultural, & educational opportunities. I don't want children to grow up in poverty & want, struggling for even the most simplest of necessities. That shouldn't be. I want everyone to have at least a middle class, comfortable life.
I believe in meritocracy i.e. those who have the most intellectual & educational qualifications to get the best possible job & get promoted in accordance to their innate abilities. I am not a fan of the its who you know philosophy. I am a pro-choice advocate although I am a strong proponent of sexual & reproductive responsibility. I believe that each of us is accountable for our lives, good or bad, positive or negative. I feel that it is so futile, if not immature, to blame outside sources for the state of the life a person makes.
I classify myself as a Liberal Democrat although I believe that each, if physically, intellectually, mentally, & psychologically able, should pull his/her weight. Irresponsible, thoughtless behavior raises my ire.
I obsess and am passionate about my writing and God. Injustice raises my ire. Injustice can include all the isms (ie: racism, sexism, etc). It includes bullying. I cannot keep my mouth shut when I see injustice, even at times when it would be safer or better if I did. I accept that life is not fair and injustice happens, but I feel the need to fight it any way I can.
