    Hi Linda!
I am a big fan of Gold fish and love to observe their movements, in my home aquarium. Your article is enlightening about this beautiful fish and the other two. As always, a well researched article, which is educational.
    Thank you for sharing this.

Thanks Chitrangada for sharing this very interesting article from Linda.I have an aquaruium at home where I have goldfish so the information on the goldfish experiment was very enlightening to me.And it also debunks that statement that "goldfish has an attention span less than 8 seconds".If these fish can plan things, they sure are much more intelligent than we give them credit.

Thanks Linda for sharing yet another interesting article.

This was very interesting, Linda. I used to have pet cichlids and goldfish. I always thought the cichlids in particular seemed to be intelligent as though they were trying to communicate with you. I knew rays and octopus were quite intelligent. I am sure most species are more intelligent then we give them credit for.
    Thanks for sharing, Chitrangada.

Thank you very much, John. I've had pet goldfish and enjoyed having them in my family. I've never had cichlids as pets, though. Your comment about your experience with them is interesting.

Linda, thank you so much for another fascinating and educational article. Your articles are always well-written, and I enjoy learning new things from your hubs. In my childhood, I had a lot of goldfishes as pets. We used to have a large aquarium in our living room. I remember my brothers and I have always enjoyed watching and observing them for hours. They are such lovely creatures. I am surprised to learn that the oldest recorded living goldfish lived to be 49 years old.

I also enjoyed reading about Cichlids and Stingrays. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Chitra Di for sharing Linda's interesting article.

Blessings and Love to both of you!!

This is a very interesting article Linda. I never considered fish having a brain that could do some arithmetic. The information is your article is fascinating. I have always liked fish, but I do not have an aquarium at this time although I use to have a beautiful selection of fish. I always learn so much from you Linda. Thank you.

Thanks for posting Linda's article Chitrangada.

What an amazing article, Linda!  We always learn something new from reading your article, but I never expected to read about fish doing arithmetic!  I think it is true that we do not give other life forms enough credit for intelligence.  Thanks Chitrangada for featuring Linda's most interesting article.
