"WASHINGTON: Today, the Committee on House Administration has released its final 2024 Flash Report on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the 118th Congress.

"This report is part of a series of flash reports that provide an update on the use of AI technology by House offices and Legislative Branch agencies, as summarized by their response letters sent to the Committee on House Administration.

"Leveraging the benefits of artificial intelligence, while maintaining its risks in the U.S. House of Representatives operations was a crucial goal for the 118th Congress and we have made excellent steps towards that," Chairman Steil (WI-01) said. "The Committee has been focused on continuing to bring Congress into the 21st Century as we continue to see new advancements in technology. The groundwork we have laid will help modernize this institution to help us better serve the American people."

"Encouraging Congress to utilize artificial intelligence in our day to day operations has been a key aspect of our work this Congress," Subcomittee on Modernization Chairwoman Stephanie Bice (OK-05) said. "This crucial work during the 118th Congress built a strong foundation for Congressional AI policy going forward. AI has the potential to be helpful to this institution, and I'm eager to see how our work will continue to modernize the House of Representatives."

Shut It Down — AI Exposes Hidden Pork in Congress’s Controversial Spending Package by Bitcoin.comNews
    https://news.bitcoin.com/shut-it-down-a … g-package/

    an excerpt

"Plus, with this bill being so massive, a ton of Americans are turning to artificial intelligence (AI) to dissect it piece by piece. “Grok says a normal human would need 7 eight-hour days to read and understand the 1,500+ page spending bill,” on X user wrote this week. “Thanks to AI it’s now impossible to hide pork in a bill,” explained Preston Byrne. “You can analyze and extract the worst parts of any 1,500 page law, prep a pressure campaign and launch it – in minutes, not weeks.”

*** As an aside, was AI used to write the first submitted CR?
