      Hello snagerries;

I think the study tips change with age. I know that I once insisted on having loud music roaring while I studied, but these days it drives me crazy. I much prefer to have the quiet chit-chat of the tv in the next room while I work. Too much quiet can also be a distraction IMHO.

      Have a good one:)

I'd say taking away distraction, and knowing your study style.

      eg. do you need music?
eg. do you need friends around so that you can talk out your ideas, or do you need space to have deep reflection?

I do 2 things when I need to focus:

      1) I disconnect myself from the internet. I download everything I need to study and then I either go to a coffee shop where there isn't free wifi, or i just shut off the wifi on my laptop. The extra effort of turning my wifi back on usually keeps me from using the internet for mindless things.

      2) If something other than the internet is distracting me, I use a quick concentration/meditation method that I have outlined in the following hub:

      hope this helps!

Try to listen to your body. I might sound stupid but for eg. I havn't drinked enough of water and felt always tired and disconcentrated then one day when I felt that way I just drunk a whole bottle and I found it is like filling up batteries. Other thing is to have a good light in the place of study to not to let you body think it is time to go to bed. There's more you can find on the net as for eg. http://how-to-concentrate.latestnewsfrom.net These tips are quite good and I use them.

On a serious note; the less self-induced stress in your life, the better you are able to concentrate.

The internet unfortunately has shortened our attention span.

To help focus, control your environment.

Put yourself in the right place and you will be productive. Of course, what is the "right place" varies from person to person.

The best way to concentrate on studies is to take interest in the required subject

Go to facebook when you are studying!! LOL!! No, I am serious!

When you get too intense, you will end up losing concentration and get stressed up over nothing. But if you study a little bit, then go facebook for like ten minutes or take a short break by walking for a while, you will do just fine! In fact, you will find the study experience more pleasant and less stressful...

Well, you know what I mean...

Well, the best thing to do is to reconsider the purpose of your study. If you are serious you will give your time, your energy and even your life. How important is that study to you...

Yes. Your last thoughts before going to sleep are the ones your mind digests during the night.

That is why I always try to end the day with pleasant thoughts.smile

I did a bunch of scientific research on studying and wrote a hub about my results. Sample size 4,000 people over fifteen years.

I find turning off the TV and internet is the key - but keeping the radio on helps... wink
