There are two models of quality assurance in catering, one is fast food where everything is standardized, the other are things like Zagat & Michelin restaurants where everything is not standardized, they're customized to local circumstances & we have sold ourselves into a fast food model of education & its impoverishing our spirits & our energies as much as fast food is depleting our physical bodies."

Do standardized tests determine who will be successful?As a former music teacher I noticed that a week or two before standardized tests all classes/recess were cancelled to cram test ?'s and answers to the test. Does this really prove what kids have learned or how successful they will be in life?
