How to Hear God's Voice in Your Life

Updated on February 14, 2015

Music

Listen to the music as you read. It is very comforting.

Music For Faith

HOPE

PLEASE PLAY THE MUSIC AND THE WORDS WILL MEAN SO MUCH MORE!!!

I love to go to the Bible in times of crisis, fear, worry and anger. I guess there is never a time when it is not a good time to read God's words.

For me His words bring him into my presence and bring a calm over me.

FEAR

Psalm 1:3

He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.

In these days of earthquakes, tsunamis, and political upheaval it is easy to lose all hope in what the Lord is saying to us. Trust in Him and He will show you how to live and prosper and take away your fears in this crazy world we live in.

Trust

Psalm 18:2
Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

So often we look to our own devices to solve the problems we face in our lives. Why not let go and let God. God did not say it would be easy . He has promised us He will never give us anything too big for us to handle. We need to spend less time feeling sorry for ourselves and more time searching out and claiming His promises in our lives of confusion.

Faith

Psalm 27:1

27:1 Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life.

Why are we so afraid to trust in God's divine presence? No we don't know the future but He does. I am not sure anyone of us really wants to know the future. Life is a marathon and not a sprint. Each day brings both joy and sorrow. If we had to look into the future how many of us would dissolve into a trembling ball of fear? We need to have the faith that God is in control of our life and will walk with us through each step of the way with Heaven as our ultimate goal, not money, not material goods, but a constant joy, the kind of joy that we can only experience in God's holy presence.

The Pain and Joy of Childbirth

PAIN

Job2:13

And they took their seats on the earth by his side for seven days and seven nights: but no one said a word to him, for they saw that his pain was very great.

Humans are so afraid of pain. It is a part of being human. I wish we could take it and embrace it with more of a positive attitude. Without pain we would never know the Joy of no pain. Until we truly come through a difficult situation we have no idea what it is really like to be totally human. I have experienced quite of bit of pain in my life and without it I don't think I would know the love of God or even how to go to Him as his child and cry out to him as a little infant cries for her parent. How wonderful the sun is after the rain. And the pain free day after a difficult one. It is the difficult walks in life that make us the strongest. He is truly molding us into His likeness.

Genesis 3:16

To the woman he said, Great will be your pain in childbirth; in sorrow will your children come to birth

Even in childbirth we have pain, although I do have friends that say they never had any, but once the gift of the newborn is put in your arms all memory of the pain disappears. After I gave birth to my first born I do remember the anxious moments as I struggled through transition but once I felt that tiny warm little being on my belly I was ecstatic. Such happiness I had never experienced before. Without that pain I would never have been given the gift of that beautiful little creature in my arms!!!!

JOY

Matthew 25:21

His lord said to him, Well done, good and true servant: you have been true in a small thing, I will give you control over great things: take your part in the joy of your lord.

True joy comes from the Lord. Webster's defines joy as:

the emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune or by the prospect of possessing what one desires

Luke 6:23

Be glad in that day, and be lifted up for joy, for your reward in heaven will be great: for their fathers did these same things to the prophets.

It is our faith to trust in our reward in heaven to sit along the saints with our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ, This alone brings us great peace and joy. To know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour is to have his Holy Spirit live within you .Once you have the Spirit you have perfect Joy which casts out all fear, even in the face of pain and turmoil.

Happiness

Withoust sadness we would never experience true happiness.

PEACE

Roman's 15:13

May the God who gives hope fill YOU with all joy and peace by YOUR believing, that YOU may abound in hope with power of Holy Spirit.

It is through our faith that God gives us all peace and joy. We believe through our faith in God and trust him to forgive us our sins. We have no right within ourselves for this forgiveness but only through the love of God and his son Jesus Christ who gave His life for ours.
