This has been asked a hundred times but the answers have never been the exact same. Roger McGuinn and David Crosby had on several occasions spoke gushingly about the Beatles. However, many ordinary music aficionados only halfheartedly agree and give more weight to the Byrds though they became popular singing songs by other writers like Pete Segar and Bob Dylan. Musicwise, the guitar in the Byrds songs "speaks" more enhusiastically than in the Beatles' songs. NO, I am not proposing to blaspheme George Harrison or something. What do you think?
