Just looking to network with people who have an interest in making movies. I'm an aspiring director, and it would be cool to meet people with new ideas.
Ref: New Ideas - Maybe once your film is done, you could turn it into a novel as well? Good Luck, Amigo.
I have almost completed my book would you like to put it on the screen?
If its my kinda writing, why not. You know what, Jules (whispers) I'm actually hoping I get to adapt some of my favorite books into movies - like The Stand by Stephen King or The Catcher In The Rye by J.D.Salinger. Salinger wouldn't give anyone the deal, though. He says Hollywood will mess his book up. Cant blame him. Its the greatest book ever!
I have read "The Catcher in The Rye" I do agree it is an excellent book. Mine is a romance so I do not believe it is your genre, however I thank you for responding. I would be happy to read some of your writing though.
You're welcome. If you go thru my Short Stories hubs, you'll get an idea of the kind of stuff I write. I recommend the hubs, The Keeper and The Godhood: Two Very Short Stories, They Call Me Fiery CJ - A Rant About Murder The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Then perhaps The Horrorscope series.
I have read The Keeper and naughty me It was late and I didn't comment so I will go back and re-read I apologize but I do have to say it was a fantastic read!!
Do you need actors fierycj? I remember when I was young in my teens, and the boys would pick on me, because I loved to sing and dance, I would get so mad, I told them "you just wait and see, I'm going to make it to Hollywood someday and I will be the one laughing all the way to the bank"
So, is this my chance fierycj? ...lol...Go back home, to my class reunion, and say see I made it to the big time.....lol...just teasing, I'm not all that in to making movies anymore. But fierycj I wish you all the best, and I will be looking for you on the Big Screen. Dee
I shoot micro-budget horror films (17 so far), and sell them at comic/horror fan conventions throughout the southwest. I've written, directed, acted, photographed, done special effects, and edited. So, yes, I'm interested in making movies.

Nice to know this. I'm working on shooting a low budget horror flick in my country. Glad to meet someone who's into the same things in here. Kinda gets boring in here sometimes.

so it's a horror film is it...... not really interested in it but if you think i could be of any assistance back stage maybe
I love filmmaking. I also love writing.
At the moment I'm not doing either. Though when I mean that in terms of writing, I am writing, but nothing that is currently fictitious in nature.
Fiery I don't know anything about film making but I can always help with writing. Not that I've ever written or adapted a book to a screenplay.
But I can spell rather nicely
A frog's just gotta write. Even if it is about mythical nonsense.
I am very much interested... I wanted to be a director at some point of my life. The dream is still alive.
I've worked on a couple low budget horror films, (gaffer, sound, fx) but I'm a screenwriter. I have 12 under my belt and 2 of them are being actively pursued. If it happens it happens but in the meantime, I still write.
I'm working on one now that I may consider producing myself if I can't land a deal. I have no desire to be behind a camera but being a producer is more my thing. I have access to a great filmmaking community here in Chicago. Not going to discuss it here but think (In the Valley of Elah meets Frailty)

Just wondering. Has anyone left their day job and concentrated instead on freelance writing? I'd be very much interested to learn how it went. Thanks!

The few followers I have report to me that they do not receive notification that a new hub is published or featured. When I contacted HubPages help directly by email they told me that the messages were probably in the spam box of the followers. That is not the case. Anyone else having (or had) this...

And it's right under our very noses. What is it? Stuff that you're interested in!Your hobbies, your work, your experiences... do a bit of keyword research to see how many other people are interested in it and what search terms they're using to find it, then write about it (then rewrite, spell...
