Does the Media: Television, Radio, Newspaper, Internet and Twitter- affect the way you think, behave
Yes.
I disagree with arguments that video games make kids violent. I think the violence is already there and the games are an outlet which may help you express certain desires but don't cause them.
I think the effect is more a matter of TV (& Internet video) than other forms of media. There seems to be something almost subliminal about the way TV taps into your brain. Radio is easier to filter out. Newspapers, the Internet (text), and Twitter all go through a more conscious thinking portion of your mind.
That said, the whole point of media is to effect behavior. If a Newspaper couldn't inform your decisions - and by definition alter your thinking & behavior - then what is the point in reading it?
Yes. Otherwise, what's the point? A newspaper is meant to inform, thus helping you to form an opinion.
In my opinion it does affect our way of thinking and eventually behaving. They definitely influence our thinking which is in a way fodder for our behavior. I guess the biggest influencer is television because it is affecting us to change the way we live our life. Quite surprising but definitely true
No. We all have the freedom to think and believe what we want.
Exposure has a great deal of influence on the human psyche. The more you expose yourself to an environment the more you will emulate that environment. This explains why kids who listen to "Gangster Rap" act and talk the way they do.
Conservatives tend to listen to talk radio and develop a conservative way of thinking. Liberals watch the news and develop a liberal way of thinking. Really, though, nobody reads the newspaper any more.
Yes it does.... in a big way at times.
It is the media which keeps the people updated and informed about everything that is happening around them and the world. We all draw something from it.

The point. Personally I do not watch the news I just listen to other people and look to my friends online for the facts. Well the facts are American media is run by the world mob and they are attempting to create a rift between the citizen and the police. So the media is all about how a cop killed...
