Manfred Mann...one of their biggest hits "Blinded by the Light" is awesome. Others songs they have are good regularly keeping them on the top charts. Originally starting in the 60s they later moved into the 70s as Manfred Mann's Earth Band. Manfred Mann is the real name of the group's keyboardist.

Nazareth, Foghat, Rush.  I could do a whole list.  There are many that stood the test of time but there are also many popular bands that people would not recognize now.

If you like Little Feat check out Firefall, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Souther Hillman Furay just to name a few. Also the singer (Little Feat) Craig Fuller is from my area and was in a band called Pure Prarie League, check them out too. Peace!!

Most of the bands named so far, with the exception of those named by justom are played pretty frequently on the classic rock stations around here so I don't know if I would consider them "forgotten". To justom's suggestions, I would add Gram Parsons, NRBQ, Delaney & Bonnie, Buffalo Springfield and Canned Heat. Of course, the suggestions by the others are great if you haven't heard them as well, but these bands and those justom suggested are closer in style to Little Feat.
