Is it possible for one person to have the exact same music taste as another person?

I have always had a very differing taste in music from that of my peers, but managed to land a man who shares my passion for Classic Rock and 80's Rock.  He still can't stand some of the off-beat New Wave that I enjoy, or some of the new Indie Rock that I love.  So is it possible to come across another human being with exactly the same taste in music as me, even though our brains, as well as the varieties of all the music in the word, are so complex?

It is. When I met my girlfriend for the first time (didn't know she'd be my gf yet) we named all the bands we liked. It got to the point where we were naming the same bands at the same time we were freaked out. Our musical taste seemed to be identical! So yeah, I think it's possible for it to be very similar but not perfectly the same. There's still bands I listen to that she hates and vice versa. Everyone's different.

I don't believe so. I've got lots of friends who I have very similar tastes in music too, but none of us have identical tastes. It's part of the pleasure of sharing music smile
