Is it possible to love someone and dislike that person at the same time?
You often hear the saying "I love you but I don’t like you". Is this at all possible and if so how?
Absolutely not! It is a lawyer talk. Unless you have a split personality.
My short answer to your question is, 'yes'
I love my baby's father because he gave me the one person I love most in the world and that person is 50% him. I dislike the way he treats people including our daughter, my husband and I.
I've always loved my brother because we had a great childhood together and my love for him goes to a place that is so deep it's unreachable. But a few years ago (before he altered his ways) I didn't like him one bit because he was not one to be liked by anyone at that time.
True love is unconditional, so just because you stop liking someone that you love, it doesn't stop you from loving them.
There will always be things we love about a person and at the same time hate other things!
Most definitely! I usually think of it as I love them but I don't like their behavior at the time.
