Why Michael Jackson was idolized by millions but lived in great solitude?
He was a very talented artist.
People are always going to admire people who are talented whether it be singing, dancing, writing, acting, painting, or success in any form.
The more successful one becomes the more people there are who are out to use you, take advantage of you, or pull you down. This can lead a person o withdraw or build a tight circle of friends and family to buffer them away from the masses.
It becomes harder and harder to "trust" people and their intentions.
Dashingscorpio answered my question and said, in the last text paragraph: "It becomes harder and harder to "trust" people and their intentions."
Perhaps the real truth, because who it's not easy know who is really a friend, and who have an only interest.
Because the idolisation of millions means absolutely nothing. .

As a musician and music lover, I have grappled with an answer to this question since MJ's sad passing, if there ever will be one.To me, good music entertains us. But great music must inspire and fuel passion within us....
