I have a GREAT movie idea, but am not a writer or have anything to do with the movie business. Is there any way to get this idea to someone who can do something with it?
Oh yes, didn't you know a lot of movie ideas got to directors who never paid anything for them
Writer or not, if you want royalties or pay for your idea you need to have it in writing and copyrighted. That way you have a hard copy to sue them if they take it. (Although, even if you just show the script some elements are often done slightly different, but enough to not be under the copyright).
how many spec's have you written, steven? i'm just curious at your eager offer. Writing a screenplay can be a pain, but now that mine is completed, trying to get it sold is even worse. Are you in the business?
