What do you think music says about a society?
furthermore, do you think the type of music a person listens to says something about who he is?
Broadly speaking, a person's music preferences might indicate their attitudes and beliefs. For example, if all the music a person listens to contains no profanity, it might suggest that they disapprove of it. If all they play is classical, they might consider themselves to value intelligence. If they like pop music they might be extroverted, and so on.
Unfortunately, the radio is a wasteland of cookie cutter bubble gum auto tuned advertisements. Not music, just advertisements, cause that's all most of the "music" is on the radio, a product, it's certainly not music. I miss the days when songs that were good were popular.

It just seemed so wrong that no one had responded to a thread about conversing with others. So I would like to say, those are all fine points and will actually be quite helpful for those uncomfortable in social settings. That was kind of you to go to the effort.
