As an adult, what is the most childish thing you have done recently?

The reason I ask is that I have just watched Britains Got Talent and was really annoyed that the boy band didn't get through, so I went on Twitter to vent my annoyance and one of the group East17 from the 90s made a comment and I wrote him a message and he just replied. I was so pleased with myself, and the side of me that said, grow up nell was pushed back really quickly! lol! So, what have you done to take you back to your youth recently? Or just be dowright childish.

For part of the time that I was in graduate school at Oregon State University, I had an upstairs neighbor from Taiwan. One of my culture shocks was seeing him eat ice cream with chopsticks!

A long time ago, I had a seasonal job with the U.S. Forest Service out of Flagstaff, Arizona, up on the heavily forested Kaibab Plateau. I was a Fire Prevention Patrolman. I spent most of my time driving around in my patrol area, and stopping to ask people to please be careful with their campfires and other fires. A much smaller part of the job was inspect chainsaws, and also the heavy equipment used by the loggers, to make sure that they all had spark arresters.

There was one couple who were out cutting up dead-and-down wood for their fireplace. After getting their permission, I started taking apart their chain saw. The man asked me to be please be careful, because the screws could easily get lost in the tall grass. My reply: Nooo problem. And I continued with the disassembly, forgetting what he had said.

Yes, the chain saw did have a spark arrester. And it was one screw short when I put it back together. They had to drive all the way back into town just for one screw! Talk about feeling like an idiot!

I think at many times when I act so comic that I sound childish, I really can't remember which one in particular. A missionary friend  told me once I have to be more serious and act like a lady, but I had always been so poised that people could think I'm so prim and proper and only when they get to know me that they'd tell me, you're so fun. Not sure really, but those were things I've done I find childish. Thanks for this question Nell, so insightful and made me think a lot, haha. Loved it!
