    There are so many...
But to pick up one, my vote goes to 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'...

But i can't stop myself from talking about some of his other brilliant performances, like
    About Schmidt
    A Few Good Men
    As Good As It Gets
    The Shining
    The Departed...

That's all I can recall right now!!!

Four movies that stick out in my mind that I absolutly loved him in were.

    1. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

    2. Anger Management

    3. Batman

    4. The Departed

Out of the four, I would say the Departed was my favorite.

The Shining for me will always be his best role.

I would have to answer with a tie-breaker myself, A Few Good Men, and One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest

If you're a fan of Jack Nicholson and you haven't seen "Five Easy Pieces", you need to watch this film - this is the movie where Nicholson defined the persona that he would later bring to his full catalog of all of his film work.

I love a lot of his movies. "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" is a good one and all the others mentioned here. But I loved him best as the Joker in "Batman."

Batman with Michael Keaton. In my opinion, Jack was the best joker around!

I would have to say "A Few Good Men".  He is a fine actor and can pull it off in any movie he stars in, but this one was my favorite.  Also Tom Cruise did an outstanding job in this movie as well.
