What is your all-time favorite stand-up comedy special?

There have been plenty of great comedy special over the decades by equally great comedians.  Which one gave you the most laughs?

Without doubt or exception, my favorite stand-up comedy special is "Carlin at Carnegie."  I've probably watched it no fewer than two hundred times, and laughed until I couldn't breathe at every viewing.  The whole thing about fussy eaters is so funny and so true and so timeless that there's no way to keep from laughing, no matter how many years ago it was delivered.  And the comparison of cats to dogs?  Priceless!

Carlin has so many great shows but that one cemented him as one of the best ever.

"Life Is Worth Losing" by George Carlin.

Yes, he was. I will never get over the fact that I never got the chance to see him perform live.

That should not deaden your love for what he did.

It doesn't. All that statement meant was that I really wish I could have seen him perform live.

It has to be Louis CK's stand up special "Chewed Up".  This one is so funny, I laugh so hard every time I watch it.  It's one of those comedy specials that I tell all my friends they have to watch... And I usually watch it with them, laughing as though it was my first viewing.  I absolutely LOVE Louis CK.

It's amazing how he can be so filthy, so funny and so intelligent at the same time.  Terrific choice.

My pick would be Eddie Murphy's "Delirious." In today's politically correct society the show probaly wouldn't air. Bold, profane, and often offensive it displayed Murphy's star power.

That one is the closest for me to Carlin at Carnegie.  "ICE CREAM!!!!!"

That special was absolute genius.  Eddie at the peak of his powers.

Although I do love Carlin, I think the one that always comes to mind first is Abbott & Costello's "Who's on First".
