I have many favorites! A few include, but are not limited to good old George Carlin, the beautiful Eddie Izzard, and I really like Bill Hicks.
Top 5:
5)Eddie Izzard
4)Russell Howard
3)Billy Connolly
2)Jimmy Carr
1)Ricky Gervais
Mitch Hedberg! (rest his soul)

A british comedian by the name of lee mack is side splittingly funny to me!
George Carlin is also one of my favorites - he rocked! Also Robin Williams. I saw him on HBO the other night and couldn't stop laughing. He is just incredibly funny
Rodney Carrington followed by Jerry Seinfield. Never really got into George Carlin or Richard Pryor.
Dane Cook, Frank Caliendo are just the first two of my many favorites.
Joe Rogan is also pretty funny. Not many people I know have seen him do anything but fear factor, but he actually has some pretty good skits.
Sam Kinison is my favorite he never failed to make me laugh.
Other great Canadian comedians include Rick Mercer and Elvira Kurt.
I have also just been impressed by an American comedienne called Tigg something
I think Eddie Izzard is the funniest guy out there right now.
Jim Carrey, Robin Williams and Jeff Dunham the Ventriloquist
Billy Connelly
John Cleese & Monty Python's Flying Circus
And the Mayor of BumbleTown
I think for Comedians you can't go past Jerry Lewis and Bob Hope for first rate comedians of all time. They will always be in our memories I think from Beautybabe
Bill Cosby, Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, those of the fews right now.
I saw Bill Cosby live a few weeks ago here in Knoxville. He's 72 years old and still hilarious. He gave two full hours of clean comedy that was actually funny. He didn't do standup though, he sat down the entire time lol.
The first time I saw Richard Pryor on Comedy Central I laughed the entire time. I think he was the pioneer for modern comedy. You wouldn't think that a comedic routine that was filmed 30+ years ago would still be funny today in 2009, but it is.
here are my top ten favorite comedians, along with clips of each one, listed on my hub:
