Cool Song Lyrics - Who Sang this one?

Occasionally, does an old songs lyrics pop into your head. And just stick there?
Here is a good line from an old song that I can't remember the title or the Artist.
IF I SAID YOU HAD A BEAUTIFUL BODY,
WOULD YOU HOLD IT AGAINST ME?

Written by David Bellamy, and recorded by The Bellamy Brothers in 1979.
It was from an album called the Two and Only.  The song became a #1 hit.

The title is shown as HAD on the album, but the original single was called,
"If I Said You Have a Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me"

I found this info on google.

I have the tape in my Rodeo and Conway Twitty sings it. I play it every time I start anywhere. My Uncle gave me the tape since at the time I was not a big Country Music Fan---but I love Conway's voice.

I had no idea that Conway did it, also. But, with that voice, I can definitely see him picking up on such a song.

I have heard of Conway Twitty but not the Bellamy Brothers.  I thought it was Dr Hook who sang it.  Bear in mind I was only very young when it was popular in the UK!

Check into the Bellamy Brothers if you are interested. They have a good history of Country Rock, including one of my favorites, Get into Reggae Cowboy. This one will get your feet moving.
      Thanks for the answer.
