Peter Gabriel  "In Your Eyes" is by far the best song for me.

It's hard to pin-point one song.  The answer changes all the time.

Musical magic happens for me when a song can touch my soul and connect with whatever emotion is strongest within me at the time.  Sarah Brightman does this all the time.  Celtic Woman's music also hold a special place in my heart.

Wow tough question... if I were deserted on a desert island and I had one song to listen to what would it be?

1-2-3 by Gloria Estefan.... NOT LoL (no offense to fans)

    Wow... I really don't know????

Most Beautiful Songs - Unchained Melody, Sea of Love, These Arm of Mine (Otis Reading)
    Sexiest Song - Black Velvet
    Fun, Nostalgic Songs - Oldies
Most Powerful Songs - Classical Music

Sorry, but it's like potatoe chips - you can't do just one.  Different songs for different moods.  They touch your heart in accordance to various factors in the moment.

Guess I failed the question, but hey, probably won't be the last time.

It was a fun question, though.

    Thx.
    smile

P.S.  By the way, you didn't say what your all time favourite is.

      Hi there!
Yeah me also I forgot to tell what is the best song for me (lol).  Thanks for reminding me, anyway the best song for me is You Gotta Be by Des'ree.  Just love the catchy tunes and the inspirational lyrics. In fairness, it is so hard to tell what is the best song since it depends upon the situation we are feeling in a certain point in our life.

Really?  I've never heard anyone say that Dylan was their favourite....before now.  Have to admit though, it's a pretty good song, although I LOVE Things Have Changed.  It's on the Wonder Boys CD.  I absolutely love the words, think it's a great story set to music.

To me, songs are different depending on when you hear them. One song could be better than another in a different situation. To me, the best song I ever heard was when my friend edited together a short mockumentary of our failure to make a movie and played "Last Chance Honey" by Jet during the intro. I laughed so hard.

I couldn't pick a best song if someone put a gun to my head. I couldn't even narrow it down to the top 50 best songs.

"Savoy Truffle" by the Beatles is probably my all-time favorite song, but trying to pick one favorite Beatles song is like picking the best chocolate chip cookie in the batch.  They're all so good!  tongue

My favorite song of the moment changes regularly, but I have three standing favorites:

--"Lovin' in My Baby's Eyes" by Taj Mahal (bluesy/jazz)
--"Aicha" by Cheb Khaled (who sings in Arabic & French)
--"Firefly Rebellion" by Mystik Journeymen (for sentimental reasons, and for the priceless line, "I kick that foo' in the head with my shoe!")
