Will people ever create Silent Films again?
I am curious, will Silent Films ever get created again?
Silent Films are not made anymore, that makes it a lost art. People should create silent films again. With Silent Films. Anyone can be an actor, Just be yourself and feel the emotions within the movie script. Be the character. Use your imagination and love what you are doing.
Yes, one was created not to long ago. I don't remember the name of it.
Yes, I also saw "The Artist" an enjoyed it. Aside from that, I see several silent independent films every year at university, college, and community film festivals - like Bay City, Michigan's Hell's Half Mile celebration. No other silent films from the major studios recently, though, to my knowledge.
"The Artist" won five Oscar Awards in 2012 for the year 2011.
According to boxofficemojo.com the movie earned $44 Million in North America and a worldwide total of $133 Million.
The Production Budget was: $15 million. Not only was the movie (silent) but it was also in (black and white). Having said that I believe Hollywood looks at this movie as being the "exception". The bulk of the ticket sales came after the movie started winning awards.
