Does a celebrity gossip site TMZ have the right to obtain photos in an abuse case and release them?
I wondered when I saw them if they might belong to a different case or be manipulated photos.
If the photos are good for adding "shock" value to their "story" you know they are going to get their hands on the photos any way they can. And, if they can't get their hands on the photos that support their story, they have been known to manipulate the photos in hand. Still, people visit these celebrity gossip sites even though they know they can't trust the validity of the photos. These type of sites are in place for pure entertainment. I don't believe they should be allowed to obtain photos, especially in an abuse case. I believe it takes away the victim's privacy. No one wants their personal business displayed for all the world to see. I'm sure celebrity gossip sites don't care about that.
TMZ pays people for their photos....Thats why the Papparazzi goes through ridiculous extent to get pictures of celebrities....The right pictures could be worth thousands of dollars. This is a free country and if your not breaking any laws when you take/obtain the pictures, I dont see any reason why you couldn't sell them.
The first 30 seconds of TMZ that I actually watched made me realize that it is incredibly unlikely I would ever believe anything they say. Almost made me ill to watch even those 30 seconds.

How does following celebrity gossip actually improve your life?If it doesn't, then why do you bother getting all worked up over what they are wearing and doing and eating and dating and all that jazz?
