Think of all the people suffering with real serious problems like I have a relative very seriously ill in hospital having had 2 strokes .. I personally have excruciating arthritis in both knees yet never get bored as I try make the most out of every day. If you have nothing to do why not try help someone who could do with a hand in your area.

The best way to get rid of boredom is to have goals. When you have free time keep busy by taking steps to accomplish your goals. After you accomplish a goal make another one. If one of your goals is to get in shape you can exercise while you watch TV. I often exercise while I watch TV.
If your routine gets boring change it. Find more interesting ways to achieve your goals. I avoid boredom by taking steps to achieve my goals. If taking the steps gets boring I try to find a different way to reach my goal.
Well there is a simple answer, become a part of something bigger than self and if i may add, something positive for our world.
I would think perhaps volunteering or working during some of your time would be ideal. Ministry work of some sort, Red Cross, Catholic Missions, etc.
Then again, I am never bored when i play my game of choice; that being ice hockey or SCUBA diving on many of the reefs throughout our world. Thus one should find a hobby of interest and "dive" in!
For me, setting your goals is the best way of getting rid of boredom. It gives you direction and purpose in life.
yeah, gotta have goals for the day. Like list out the things you wanna do for today then you don't have time to think about boredom
