Will you watch the new Stargate Trilogy
MGM has announced that they will be working on a new Stargate movie trilogy, I believe the first movie of the trilogy will be a remake of the first movie which was released in 1994 followed by two more movies.
Will you watch these movies or do you think they will ruin the franchise for you?
I have only vague memories of the original "Stargate" film and I rarely, if ever, watched any of the accompanying TV series, so... sure, what the heck, bring on a remake. Maybe it'll reignite my interest.
So I have watched all Stargate everything and had no idea that any type of remake was in order. I am happy to hear it and will definitely watch it however like most everything else it will probably be ruined by a "new direction" that they go in. Who knows though sometimes the remakes are as good or better than the original...nothing comes to mind though.

(May 29, 2014) – Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures, together with Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin, are partnering to launch a new feature film trilogy that reimagines the 1994 film Stargate. The announcement was made today by Gary Barber, MGM’s Chairman and CEO. Emmerich, who directed and co-wrote the original film with Devlin, is confirmed to direct and Devlin will produce.
Barber said, “We couldn’t be more excited to once again partner with Roland and Dean, the world-class creators of the original Stargate, to bring their reinvigorated vision of this wildly popular property to audiences of multiple generations.” He added, “Stargate is one of the biggest titles in MGM's vast library, and we look forward to adding this great franchise to our slate."
